The Anti-terrorism Squad of the Maharashtra Police arrested eight people from the Padgha area of Boriwali area in Thane district. The eight have been arrested
following digital information about their connection with terrorist activities. AT has not revealed any official information in this connection.
According to sources,
police raided several houses early in the morning on Monday. About 400 police
personnel were involved in the raid to prevent any untoward incident during the
raids. The houses of those involved in the 2003 Mumbai bomb blasts, former office
bearer of the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) Saqib Nachan, Police
suspect Nachan’s involvement in terrorist activities after his release from
jail in 2017. The ATS is believed to have found some important evidence during
the raids.
