Bulandshahr,
18 June (HS): Five members of a family traveling to Delhi from a wedding in
Budaun killed and one was injured in a road accident in Bulandshahr district on
Wednesday morning, police said. The automobile collided with a culvert on the
road, overturned, and caught fire, which the authorities believe was caused by
the driver's drowsiness. Tejveer Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police
(Rural), said the event occurred about 5.30 a.m. near Janipur village. He
stated the cops were called when a vehicle collided and started fire. Local police and firefighters raced to the
scene and began rescue operations.
One
injured person, Gulnaz (28), was hauled out and brought to the Community Health
Centre (CHC), while five other persons on board the car died, Singh added. An
initial investigation found that all six persons had been to Budaun district
for a wedding and were returning to Malviya Nagar in Delhi. The driver was tired in the morning, and the
automobile spun out of control, collided with a culvert, and flipped. It eventually caught fire, according to the
additional SP. The remains have been sent for autopsy, and further legal
processes are pending, Singh stated.
