Nagpur, 17 June (HS): A blast in a factory on
Tuesday left one worker dead and six injured. The blast in Ankit Pulps and
Boards Private Limited in Bhilgaon occurred around 11 am. The blast occurred in
a glass-lined reactor. A fire broke out following the blast. One worker died at
the scene, while six others were injured.
The injured were rushed to a hospital in Kamptee.
One of them is said to be critical.
The company prepares microcrystalline cellulose
(MCC), which is used in the medicine and food industries.
The exact cause of the blast is being investigated.
Nagpur’s Commissioner of Police Ravindra Singhal has taken the incident
seriously and is guiding his team in the investigation.
