Guwahati, 18 June (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday reached Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), where he took stock of the health condition of former MP and senior BJP leader Bijaya Chakraborty.

The Chief Minister met Bijaya Chakraborty admitted in the hospital and inquired about her health and wished her a speedy recovery. He tweeted that Bijaya Chakraborty was full of self-confidence as always and also showed enthusiasm during the conversation.

Dr. Sarma directed the doctors and hospital administration of GMCH to ensure that there is no negligence in the treatment and every necessary medical facility is ensured so that Bijaya Chakraborty can recover soon and return home.
