17 June (HS): The Uttar Pradesh government has hired 2.16 lakh policemen/women
during the previous eight years, according to the UP Chief Minister's Office
(CMO). In a post on X, the Uttar Pradesh
Chief Minister stated, Our government has recruited 2.16 lakh police
personnel in the UP Police Force alone in the last eight years. We not only
conducted this recruiting, but also sought to transform UP Police into a
modern police force. The
press communiqué further said that, in addition to large-scale recruiting,
efforts had been undertaken to modernise the UP Police. On Sunday, Union Home
Minister Amit Shah handed out appointment papers to 60,244 Civil Police
Constables of Uttar Pradesh Police in Lucknow. In his speech, Shah stated that
today, more than 60,000 young people will become members of India's most
powerful police force.
