Kokrajhar (Assam), 17 June (HS): A grand membership ceremony was organized by the BJP Parvatjhora Mandal at Kazigaon Samuhik Bhawan in Parvatjhora of Kokrajhar district of Assam. Many senior leaders of the district including BJP National Council member and Vice President of Plain Tribe Development Corporation of Assam Government Banendra Kumar Musahari were present in this program.

On this occasion, more than 300 minority men and women along with many leaders of Congress, AIUDF, BPF and UPPL joined the BJP.

In his address, Musahari almost sidelined the Pramod Boro government and said, Whatever development is visible in Parvatjhora today, it is all the contribution of the Assam government.

On being asked about BJP's efforts to form a government in BTR with UPPL and BPF, he said, Now there is peace in BTR, we do not want unrest to spread again. That is why we want to take everyone along.

Talking about Hagrama Mahilari and Minister Jayantamalla Barua, he said, This matter is related to the protest in Bansbari. They claimed that this time only BJP will form the government in BTR.
