Bhubaneswar, 17 June (H.S.): Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond has confirmed that all schools across the state—both government and private—will reopen as scheduled on June 20. His statement puts to rest recent speculations about a possible delay due to monsoon-related concerns.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the minister stated, “The government has decided that all schools will reopen on June 20. Necessary preparations are already underway to ensure a smooth and safe reopening.”

Gond added that clear directives have been issued to district education authorities and school administrations to complete all arrangements in advance. These include ensuring classroom readiness, implementing safety measures, and addressing infrastructural needs in view of the monsoon.

The minister emphasized that the government is committed to providing students with a safe and conducive learning environment from day one.
