Kathua, 17 June (H.S.): MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia, here today started the On-Farm Development works under the Command Area Development Jammu, specifically the construction of field channels at Khilo Chak on Bhagwal-Khatyral Ujh CAD project.
The project, worth Rs. 75 lakh, aims to bridge the gap between irrigation potential created and utilized, enhancing agricultural production and productivity.
Brij Mohan Rana, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer CAD Dayalachak and other field officers were also present on the occasion along with Mandal Pradhan Chann Arorian, Mukesh Kumar, Sunil Gupta, Vicky, Nikhil, Monu, Chaman Lal, Sham Lal, Khem Raj, Sham Singh, Nandan Khajuria, Sarpanches Yogesh Singh, Shiv Dev Singh and Ravinder Pathania.
The MLA said that the project seeks to improve the socio-economic condition of farmers and develop degradable land through a planned network of irrigation facilities.
He said that PM Modi led Government focuses on rural development to reduce disparities between urban and rural areas, enhance livelihoods and to provide opportunities for rural residents by prioritizing rural development.
