Fake Facebook user arrested for posting CM's photo and writing 'Pakistan Zindabad'


Hajo (Assam), 17 June (HS): Hajo police has got a big success. Accused Shafikul Ali, who had been making anti-India comments by creating a fake Facebook account for a long time, has been arrested. The accused was posting provocative posts like Pakistan Zindabad and Beef Zindabad by putting the picture of the Chief Minister of Assam on Facebook. Recently also he had given an open challenge to Hajo police by posting a similar post.

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police team led by Hajo police station in-charge Rupam Hazarika took immediate action and within just 24 hours, Shafikul Ali was caught from Noonmati area of Guwahati.

The arrested youth is a resident of Muipenir village of Mukalmuwa police station area. According to police sources, he had earlier also made anti-social posts by creating a fake Facebook account in the name of a youth of Hajo and was absconding since then.

The police have started introducting the accused and are also investigating other aspects related to his social media activities. ---------
