Bhubaneswar, 16 June (H.S.) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Ranarnab Deb, the younger brother of Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingh Deb and the titular Thataraja of Puri.

In an emotional message shared on social media, CM Majhi said he was deeply saddened by the news and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved royal family. May Lord Jagannath grant them strength and patience in this hour of grief. I pray at His feet for the peace and salvation of the departed soul, the Chief Minister stated.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also took to social media to mourn the loss. He wrote, “Saddened and deeply pained to learn about the untimely passing of the revered Ranarnab Deb. I pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and extend my sincere condolences to the bereaved royal family.”

The passing of Ranarnab Deb has evoked a wave of mourning across Odisha, with tributes pouring in from leaders, institutions, and citizens, reflecting his significance in the state’s royal and cultural heritage.
