TN Government Orders Monthly Report on Grievance Petitions

Chennai, 14 June (H.S.): The Tamil Nadu government has directed all departments to submit a monthly report on grievance petitions received and redressed. This move aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the government's functioning. The directive requires departments to provide detailed information on the number of petitions received, pending, and disposed of, along with reasons for any delays.

The government has emphasized the importance of addressing public grievances in a timely manner. Departments have been instructed to prioritize grievance redressal and ensure that all petitions are disposed of within a reasonable timeframe. This initiative is expected to improve the overall efficiency of the government's grievance redressal system.

The directive is part of the government's efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in its functioning. By making departments accountable for grievance redressal, the government aims to improve public trust and satisfaction with its services. The monthly reports will also enable the government to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

The Chief Minister has instructed the Chief Secretary to monitor the implementation of this directive and ensure that all departments comply with the new requirements. The first monthly reports are expected to be submitted by the end of June, and the government will review the progress and take necessary actions to further improve the grievance redressal system.
