(HS): The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has taken a step to make arrangements

for systematic parking of two-wheelers and four-wheelers at 51 places in

different parts of the city.The parking

space is being marked on 75 streets with while parking slot bands.

The decision was

taken with the initiative of the Municipal Commissioner, Dr Abhijit Chaudhari.

Marking for 13,500 two-wheelers and 4,000 four-wheelers will be made on the

selected 75 streets. Parking will be in an angular manner so that parking and

removing from the slot will be easy for everyone.

The parking slot

for two-wheelers will be 1 X 2.5 meters, and for 5 X 2.5 meters for the four-wheelers.

NMC’s Executive

Engineer Ravindra Bundhade said that the arrangements are being made to avoid the wrong parking of vehicles and the resultant fine for uncontrolled parking on the

streets. It will also prevent inconvenience to the vehicle owners and

pedestrians as well.
