South Salmara (Assam), 14 June (HS): On Saturday, National Lok Adalat is being organized in South Salmara-Mankachar district like other districts across Assam. Preparations for organizing the second National Lok Adalat of the year under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority were completed on Friday itself.
According to the information, in this Lok Adalat to be organized in the District and Sessions Court complex located in Fekamari of the district, all types of small criminal cases, other civil disputes, cases related to Motor Vehicles Act, family disputes, cases related to Section 125 CrPC and Domestic Violence (DV), as well as cases related to NI Act will be settled through mutual agreement.
In this regard, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Jayant Kumar Sakia has appealed to the persons associated with such cases to take advantage by resolving their cases through the Lok Adalat to be held today.
It is noteworthy that the second Lok Adalat of the year was to be organized across the country on the pre-determined date of 10th May, but due to Panchayat elections in Assam, its date has been changed to 14th June.
