Miami, June 14 (H.S.): Lionel Messi expressed that his expectations for the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025 will differ from his previous experiences with Barcelona, where he won titles in 2009, 2011, and 2015. The upcoming tournament will feature an expanded format with 32 teams, spanning four weeks across 11 U.S. cities. Messi emphasized the special opportunity of participating in this tournament, highlighting his excitement to compete against top teams globally. Inter Miami will start its campaign against Al Ahli, followed by matches against Palmeiras and Porto. He noted that the inclusion of teams from all six continents would enhance the experience for players and fans alike, stating, Great teams from around the world are coming, which heightens global interest.

Messi recognized the strength of European clubs as contenders but encouraged recognizing the potential of South American and emerging teams. He believes this tournament serves as a fantastic opportunity for these teams to challenge European giants.
