Lucknow, 14 June (HS): According to an official announcement, the
Ayodhya Municipal Corporation will install about 1,000 CCTV cameras throughout
Ayodhya and Faizabad as part of its Smart City Mission. An Integrated Command
and Control Centre (ICCC) would also be constructed in Ayodhya, according to
the report, and CCTVs will be installed at a cost of 56 crore. According to the
statement, the idea has been authorized by UP's Planning Department, and the
implementation process will begin shortly.
These cameras will be deliberately positioned in sensitive and high-traffic
places to improve monitoring and keep the peace, according to the statement. A
cutting-edge control room will be created at the Municipal Corporation and
Ayodhya Development Authority's (ADA) joint headquarters in Civil Lines as part
of this endeavour. Authorities will use this center to not only monitor
security, but also solve numerous urban concerns like as waterlogging, broken
street lights, and water supply interruptions in real time.
Over 1,300 CCTVs built as part of the Safe City project are now connected with
the ITMS system at the Jal Kal office in Amaniganj. Puneet Ojha, Chief Engineer
of the Municipal Corporation's Construction Department, stated that
construction on the project will commence once the state government gives final
consent.
