Jalpaiguri, 14 June (H.S.): Criminals broke two ATMs located in a house in Boul Bari area under Maynaguri police station in Jalpaiguri district and escaped with about ₹54 lakh on Friday night. On information, the police chased the criminals for about 40 kilometers, but they disappeared in the forest of Baikunthpur. The police have recovered the car. Number plate and a large number of hand gloves have been found in the car. By the time of filing of the news on Saturday, the police had surrounded the forest with the help of the forest department. A joint search operation was being conducted with the help of Siliguri police. Drones were also being used. A Delhi Police cap has been found in the robbers' car. It is believed that this cap was kept to escape from the police.
