New Delhi, June 11 (H.S.): The domestic stock market is witnessing a slight gain in early trading today. Initially, the market opened with a modest increase but faced selling pressure, causing a temporary drop into the red. However, buyer activity quickly reversed this trend, pushing the Sensex and Nifty back into positive territory. After the first hour, the Sensex rose by 0.19 percent, while Nifty increased by 0.21 percent. Notable gainers included Coal India, Hero MotoCorp, and Reliance Industries, with increases ranging from 2.47 percent to 1.48 percent.

Conversely, shares in Shriram Finance and Kotak Mahindra experienced declines ranging from 0.90 percent to 0.33 percent. Active trading involved 2,449 shares, with 1,796 gaining value and 653 declining. In the Sensex, 16 of 30 shares showed gains, while 14 were under selling pressure, whereas Nifty saw 26 shares in the green and 24 in the red. The BSE's Sensex opened at 82,473.02 points, gaining 81.30 points, before fluctuating due to the tug of war between buyers and sellers, momentarily dipping to 82,308.91 points.

By 10:15 AM, the Sensex rose to 82,551.10 points, up by 159.38 points. The Nifty also opened positively at 25,134.15 points, initially declining to 25,081.30 points before rebounding to 25,156.55 points with a gain of 52.30 points. In the prior session, the Sensex closed down at 82,391.72 points, and Nifty ended marginally up at 25,104.25 points.
