Shillong, 11 June (HS): In the case of murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Meghalaya Police will now recreate the crime scene in Sohra. During this, the presence of the main accused Sonam Raghuvanshi will be mandatory.

According to the police, the remaining four accused arrested in this case - who have been caught from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh - have reached Shillong. They will be produced before the local court.

It is noteworthy that the SIT team brought Sonam to Shillong late at night. After that she was taken to Ganesh Das Hospital for medical examination to find out whether she is pregnant or not. The senior police officer said that she was produced in the court and her police remand was sought.

The police have named this investigation Operation Honeymoon. East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Sayem said that important evidence has been collected from the accused's hideouts in Indore and Ghazipur.

It is known that Sonam and her associates were arrested from Indore and Ghazipur. The SIT has obtained six days' police remand for the accused arrested from Indore and three days' police remand for an accused arrested from Ghazipur.

It is noteworthy that Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife were missing since May 23 while they were holidaying in Meghalaya's Sohra area. Raja's body was recovered from a ditch on June 2, which brought this sensational case to light.
