Delhi, 11 June (H.S.): PM Modi reiterated the government's commitment to welfare-driven development, ensuring maximum reach of pro-people schemes and praising their rising effectiveness and outreach.

Responding to a post by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on X, PM Modi said:

“This is a commendable rise, indicating our commitment towards welfare-driven development and ensuring our various pro-people schemes reach maximum number of people.”

India has significantly increased its social protection coverage from 19% in 2015 to 64.3% in 2025, driven by Prime Minister Modi's vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.’ In a bilateral discussion with ILO Director General Gilbert F. Houngbo, Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted the Modi Government's pro-poor welfare schemes. The ILO reported that over 94 crore people now receive at least one social protection benefit, positioning India second globally for beneficiary count. Recognizing this progress, Dr. Mandaviya noted the ongoing data pooling initiative, with expectations to increase coverage beyond 100 crore in Phase II. India's role in promoting welfare system transparency reflects a commitment to digital governance and international collaboration on Social Security Agreements.
