Delhi, 11 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored mystic poet Kabir Das on his birth anniversary, acknowledging his role in combating societal evils.

My heartfelt tributes to Sant Kabir Das Ji on his birth anniversary, who devoted his whole life towards social harmony. While there is simplicity of words in his couplets, there is also depth of emotions, PM Modi said in a post in Hindi on X.

That is why even today he has a deep impact on the Indian psyche. His contribution in removing the evils prevalent in the society will always be remembered with reverence, PM Modi said.

He shared a video montage of past tributes and reflections on Kabir's teachings. The 15th-century poet-saint's work continues to impart moral lessons and critique social issues, leaving a significant impact.
