New Delhi, June 10(HS): Mixed signals characterize the global market today. The US markets concluded the last session with varied results, as Dow Jones futures are currently up. European markets experienced ongoing pressure, while Asian markets show a general buying trend today. The US markets had continuous buying but faced profit-taking towards the end, resulting in mixed outcomes. The Dow Jones saw a slight decline, while the S&P 500 increased by 0.09 percent, closing at 6,005.88 points. The NASDAQ rose by 0.31 percent to 19,591.24 points. Now, Dow Jones futures stand at 42,895.82 points, up 134.06 points or 0.31 percent. European markets were under pressure, with the FTSE down 0.06 percent at 8,832.28 points, CAC down 0.17 percent at 7,791.47 points, and DAX down 130.14 points or 0.54 percent to 24,174.32 points.
Asian markets are generally strong, with eight out of nine indices showing gains. The Straits Times is the only index in the red, down 0.11 percent at 3,932.11 points. Notable gains include the Taiwan Weighted index up 1.95 percent and the Nikkei index up 0.96 percent, among others.
