On the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Diamond Harbor MP and Trinamool Congress's All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is going to Delhi on Tuesday evening. Apart from Abhishek, members of seven multi-party delegations will be present at the dinner on the invitation of the Prime Minister.

In fact, on April 22, terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam and killed 26 people. 15 days after this, the Indian Army attacked 9 places in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Many terrorist camps were destroyed. Abhishek went to many countries of the world to highlight the Indian Army's Operation Sindoor and India's role in dealing with terrorism. There were more than 50 members in seven delegations. Most of them were sitting MPs. Abhishek first went to Japan on May 21. Apart from Japan, he visited South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia in 2 weeks. He exposed Pakistan's role in supporting terrorism.

Abhishek returned to Kolkata on the night of June 3. The next day, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met the delegation members in Delhi. However, Abhishek informed the Ministry of External Affairs that he would not be able to attend the meeting due to several pre-scheduled programs. He said that he would put his point in writing. However, on Tuesday, it was confirmed that from Trinamool Congress that Abhishek was going to Delhi on the invitation of the Prime Minister.

Notably the Center had decided the name of Trinamool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan as a member of the delegation. On this, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee expressed dissatisfaction and said that the Center cannot decide the representative of any party. After that, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju called Mamata. Trinamool Congress proposed Abhishek's name as a representative.
