Nagpur, 30 May
(HS): Nagpur’s Sunita Jamgade, who had crossed the LOC to enter Pakistan, is
suspected to be spying for Pakistan. Sunita, who left Nagpur with her
12-year-old son on May 4 for Kashmir. She was last located in Hundarman village
in Kargil, and left her son and crossed the Line of Control to enter Pakistan.
Pakistan
security forces sent her back via the Wagha-Atari border, and she was in Amritsar
Police custody. Her son was handed over to the Child Welfare Committee.
Sunita was
brought to Nagpur on Thursday around midnight and was produced before the
Magistrate. With the Magistrate’s permission, she was arrested in early morning.Police also seized her mobile phone, Aadhar
Card, and are analysing her chats with the help of the Cyber cell. According to
police, Sunita was in contact with Pakistani people. She had claimed that she
wanted to meet a religious head in Pakistan. The police are searching for her
contacts with other people in Pakistan.
Sunita Jamgade
was working as a nurse at a local hospital. She was also said to be getting
treatment for some mental ailment.
Police are also
trying to recover the chats deleted from her mobile phone.
