30 May (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the family of Shubham
Dwivedi, a victim of the Pahalgam terror incident, at Chakeri airport here on
Friday, according to an official. Kanpur District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap
Singh has informed bereaved family members that Prime Minister Modi will meet
Shubham Dwivedi's wife Ashanya and parents, Sanjay and Seema Dwivedi, at
Chakeri airport shortly after the PM's special plane lands. Shubham Dwivedi
(31) was one of 26 people killed in the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. His
wife stated that they were told of the PMO's decision by top state government
officials. Ramesh Awasthi, Lok Sabha MP from Kanpur, wrote to the PMO a week
ago, urging that Prime Minister Modi meet with Shubham Dwivedi's family
members.
