Nagpur, 30 May
(HS): The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of RTM Nagpur University is
organising a three day ‘Pani Parishad’ on June 7, 8 and 9. The conference is
being held in association with The Jankalyan Samiti, and will be inaugurated by
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at 10 am on June 7. Officiating Vice-Chancellor
Dr Madhavi Khode-Chawre, VC of Gondwana University Dr Prashant Bokare,
Executive Director of Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation Rajesh
Sontakke, SFS Chief Rahul Goud, RTMNU Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase, Jankalyan
Samiti Chief Suman Puntambekar will remain present.
The inaugural
function will be followed by technical sessions. Students, research scholars, representatives
of social organisations, industry, and agriculture will participate. Issues
relating to water crises and possible solutions, water management for drinking
and irrigation etc, will be discussed.

expert Mukund Patrikar, VC of PDKV Dr Sharad Gadakh, PDKV’s Agro-Engineering
expert Dr Mahendra Deshmukh, progressive farmer Anandrao Raut, Union Minister
Nitin Gadkari, Dr Vijay Sharad Deshmukh from Amravati, Rupesh Sayam from
Muradpur, Milind Bhagat from Tamswadi, Sachin Kulkarni from Washim, , Hanumant
Kendre will guide the participants.
On June 9, MPCB
Chief Engineer Hema Deshpande, Dr Ramesh Daryapurkar of Cleanage Resources
India Pvt LTD, Nilesh Kalndalhgaonkar from Sambhajinagar, Dr Kapil Chandrayan
will speak on different issues.
Research papers
will be presented by the scholars and students. Various competitions have also
been organised.
