Indore, 29 May (H.S.): Corona infection cases have started increasing again in the city. Four new corona positive patients have been found here in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of active patients in the city has currently increased to nine. All the patients have been kept in home isolation. Samples of all the patients have been sent to Bhopal to find out the variant of the virus.
Indore's Chief Health and Medical Officer (CMHO) Dr. BS Setia said on Thursday that four new corona patients have been found in different areas of the city in the last 24 hours. Of these, three patients have returned from UK, Kerala and Mumbai. When they were tested after their health deteriorated here, they were found to be corona positive. However, the matter of relief is that everyone's condition is normal and no one has needed to be admitted to the hospital. , 43-year-old woman has come from UK, 30-year-old woman has come from Kerala.
According to the CMHO, the four patients include a 43-year-old woman who has returned from the United Kingdom. The second infected 30-year-old woman has returned from Kerala and the corona positive 50-year-old man has returned from Mumbai. The 54-year-old woman was in Indore itself. Of these, the husband of the woman who came from Kerala tested positive on Friday. When he came in contact with her husband, his sample was also taken, whose report has come positive.
So far this year, 16 corona patients have been found in Indore city, out of which 11 are residents of Indore. Currently there are nine active patients. All the patients have mild symptoms and are undergoing treatment while staying in home isolation. The health department is also doing their contact tracing. CMHO Dr. Setia said that patients who have a travel history are suspected to have contracted the infection during the journey. Samples of all the patients have been sent to Bhopal for genome sequencing, so that it can be known which variant of the virus is active in them. The health department has appealed to the citizens to get themselves tested immediately and be cautious if any symptoms appear.
