Nagon (Assam), 29 May (HS): A person killed in a tragic accident in Ranthali of Raha area of Nagon. The deceased has been identified as Hatbar alias Deheshwar Gaonkhowa of Kothaguari.

According to eyewitnesses, an electric wire was lying on the ground in front of the gate of Raha Hospital. In the morning, when the deceased was passing by on a bicycle with a net to catch fish, he came in contact with the wire and killed on the spot.

Local people have accused the electricity department and the hospital administration of serious negligence. They say that if the wire had been removed on time, this accident would not have happened.

Surprisingly, Raha police reached the spot about an hour after the incident, due to which more anger was seen among the people.

At present, the police have registered a case and further action is going on.
