29 May (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday paid tribute to former

Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh by offering flowers to his

statue on the occasion of his death anniversary in Lucknow. On this occasion,

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that we all salute former Prime Minister

'Bharat Ratna' Chaudhary Charan Singh, the messiah of the farmers, on the

occasion of his death anniversary. “The steps taken by Chaudhary sahab in Uttar

Pradesh related to land reform, rural development, purity and transparency in

governance, their echoes can still be heard and seen in our villages and

society. We salute his sacred memories. As the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,

his efforts for land reform, rural development, and openness in administration

are still visible in villages. The

initiatives done for rural development and farmer upliftment in the previous 11

years under Prime Minister Modi's leadership have proven revolutionary. On behalf of the state's citizens, I offer

him my modest homage,” he said. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh

Pathak, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, along with other BJP leaders and Rashtriya Lok

Dal leaders also paid tribute.
