Mumbai, 29 May (HS): Although the rains have paused in Mumbai and Pune for four days, an orange alert has been issued for Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, and some districts in the Vidarbha region.

The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy

rains and lightning in Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra, and Marathwada from May

29 to June 2. A yellow alert has been issued for some districts.

The agricultural farms in Radhanagari and Bhundargad tehsils are under water, affecting the pre-sowing operations. Summer crops like Sunflower and Groundnut are affected due to the early rains.
