New Delhi, May 29 (HS): Hitachi India Private Limited (Hitachi India) has appointed N. Venu as its Managing Director (MD). His appointment will be effective from June 2.

The company announced in a statement on Thursday that N. Venu's appointment comes after Bharat Kaushal, the first Indian Managing Director (MD) of Hitachi India, was promoted to the position of Executive Chairman of the company starting April 1. The appointment of Venu is part of the company's growth strategy to further accelerate business operations in India. The company stated that N. Venu will focus on expanding Hitachi's legacy in India in line with the group's new management plan—Inspire 2027—as the Managing Director of Hitachi India.

By strengthening synergy among approximately 28 companies of the Hitachi Group in India, N. Venu will strive to create value for customers. The Japanese company Hitachi plans to significantly expand its operations in India, which will include several businesses such as rail, digital, energy, financial inclusion, e-education, and healthcare, among others.
