Jammu, 29 May (H.S.): To offer heartfelt tribute and express solidarity with the bereaved family of the martyred ASI Yog Raj Singh in Chak Mian, Samba, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir president Sat Sharma today visited his residence.

Yog Raj was attained martyrdom in the line of duty after being deliberately hit by a vehicle driven by bovine smugglers during a police Naka checking operation in Samba district.

Expressing deep anguish over the loss and conveyed his condolences to the grieving family, Sat Sharma said, “This is not just the loss of a family, but a loss to the entire nation. ASI Yog Raj Singh laid down his life while protecting society from criminal elements. The administration must take the harshest possible measures to dismantle the networks of bovine and drug smugglers operating in the region.”

“The BJP stands firmly with our forces and supports strict and swift action against those who pose a threat to peace and public order. These smugglers are not just criminals; they are enemies of societal harmony and regional security,” he added.

MLA Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal said, “The sacrifice of ASI Yog Raj Singh will never be forgotten. His martyrdom will inspire people and other law enforcement personnel. Administration must take the strictest action under the existing laws for such crimes.”

MLA Dr Rajiv Bhagat stated, “We support a comprehensive strategy to eradicate smuggling mafias from the roots and ensure no such incident ever occurs again.”

District president Rinku Chaudhary, former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria and several senior leaders of the party were also present on the occasion.
