Guwahati, 29 May (HS): Reliance Industries chief director Mukesh Ambani's elder son Akash Ambani performed special worship at Assam's famous Tantric Shaktipeeth Maa Kamakhya temple on Thursday.

With the intention of getting the blessings of Maa Kamakhya, Akash Ambani expressed his devotion by releasing 25 bucks and 24 pairs of pigeons in the temple premises. This offering is considered to be in accordance with the Tantric tradition and Kamakhya Siddhis, in which devotees sacrifice or free animals and birds and offer them to the goddess.

The process of special worship was completed in the morning with Vedic and Tantric methods. During this, special attention was paid to security and confidentiality by the temple administration.

According to sources, Akash Ambani had reached Guwahati considering this visit to be completely spiritual and personal and he did not make any public statement.

Politicians, entrepreneurs and film personalities have often visited Maa Kamakhya temple, but this visit of Akash Ambani was especially in the news because he performed the process of animal and bird dedication with full devotion along with traditional faith.

A priest of the temple said that this worship done by Akash Ambani was related to wish fulfillment and Shakti worship, which holds great importance among the devotees of Maa Kamakhya.
