Nandurbar, 28 May (HS): Heavy rains and a cyclone in

two days damaged 200 to 250 houses in Shahada Tehsil of Nandurbar district. A couple was injured in Sonwal village as the roof of a house hit them. Sheds of many villages were flown and displaced by

the strong wind and heavy rain.

Many villages, including Mandana, Aslod, Sonwal,

Katharda in Shahada Tehsil, were affected by the rain and cyclone, which struck

the region on Monday afternoon. The power supply was also disrupted as electric

poles were uprooted.

In Sonwal, six cattle were injured as their shed

collapsed.
