New Delhi, May 28 (H.S.): Today’s global market signals appear positive. Following an upbeat session, US markets closed higher with Wall Street indices gaining up to 2.5 percent, although Dow Jones futures are currently flat. The previous session showed the Dow Jones climbing 2.54 percent, while the S&P 500 rose by 2.05 percent to 5,921.54 points, and NASDAQ increased by 2.47 percent to 19,199.16 points. Presently, Dow Jones futures reflect slight weakness, trading at 42,343.92 points, down 0.27 points.

In Europe, markets closed mixed despite a prevailing bullish trend. The FTSE index rose 0.68 percent to 8,778.05 points, and the DAX gained 0.82 percent to 24,226.49 points. Conversely, the CAC index experienced a minor decline of 0.02 percent, ending at 7,826.79 points.

Asian markets also depict varied performances today, with six out of nine indices in positive territory. The GIFT Nifty is down 0.40 percent at 24,763 points, and the Hang Seng is down 0.59 percent at 23,243.69 points. The Jakarta Composite Index has dropped by 0.15 percent at 7,188.44 points, while the Nikkei has gained 0.37 percent to 37,865.15 points. The Straits Times index is up by 0.48 percent, and KOSPI has risen significantly by 1.74 percent to 2,683.16 points, showcasing a generally mixed trading environment across Asia.
