Sonitpur (Assam), 28 May (HS): Police have arrested a member of the gang involved in oil theft from Balipara Charduar area of Sonitpur district. Police said on Wednesday that Ram Bahadur Sonar alias Ramu of Charduar Garamra has been arrested in the oil theft case during the operation conducted on the basis of secret information.

The arrested accused is said to be a member of the oil theft gang in Misamari and Charduar area. Police have seized two oil tankers during the operation. Police have registered an FIR in this regard and are interrogating the arrested accused in Tezpur Sadar police station.---------------
