Doda, 28 May (H.S.): A minor girl who was kidnapped by one Shoket Ali, son of Mussa Gujar, resident of Chakka Bhartund, Tehsil Rajgarh, Ramban has been recovered by Doda Police from Haryana and the kidnapping case has been solved.

In a statement Doda Police stated that on May 5, 2025, a report was lodged at Police Post Kastigarh of Police Station Doda by one Shoket Ali, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of Gurmul Dhandal, tehsil Kastigarh in Doda that his daughter was kidnapped by some unknown person.

The kidnapped girl was underage and accordingly a case in FIR No. 103/2025 U/S 137 (2) BNS was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.

Special Police teams were constituted and despatched to Haryana for tracing the girl.

Police team of Police Station Doda and Police Post Kastigarh under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Doda and SHO Police Station Doda under the overall supervision of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta succeeded in recovering the girl from Haryana and the accused Shoket Ali was arrested.

After recording her statement and completing legal formalities the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.
