28 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on
Wednesday paid homage to the crown jewel of revolutionaries, Swatantryaveer
Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, by garlanding his portrait and offering floral
tribute at his government residence at 7 Kalidas Marg on the occasion of his
birth anniversary.
On
this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that he was a man with an idea of
'freedom', who turned the punishment of black water and the tortured prison
of Andaman into a 'pilgrimage of national thinking', whose powerful voice and
fearless thinking gave India the mantra of self-respect. His entire life
dedicated to the motherland will remain an indelible inspiration of patriotism,
courage and thoughtfulness for the coming generations.

Prasad Maurya said that he remembered Veer Savarkar's unique sacrifice,
dedication to the nation and fearless thoughts. The nation will remember his
incomparable contribution in the freedom struggle with gratitude for ages. I
salute the great inspiration of bravery and strong nationalist thoughts,
'Swatantryaveer' Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the immortal son of Mother India, on
his birth anniversary.
