Kanpur,
28 May (HS): Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, reviewed plans
in Kanpur ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's May 30 visit. The Prime Minister will announce projects
worth Rs 20,900 crore, including the Kanpur Metro segment, power substations,
and a thermal power extension. There
will also be important advancements in infrastructure and government projects.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
undertook a detailed assessment of Kanpur's preparations on Wednesday in
advance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival on May 30. The Chief Minister underlined the importance
of tight security measures and smooth collaboration across ministries, while
officials submitted detailed plans outlining logistical and safety procedures
for the high-profile visit.
BJP
state president Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh also reached Kanpur on Wednesday to
review the preparations for the public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
to be held on May 30 at Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural University (CSA)
ground.
He
said that proper arrangements for drinking water should be ensured for the
people coming to PM Modi's rally from the parking area to the stage. In view of
the heat, there should be mandatory arrangements for shade, water and first aid
at all the entry gates.
Bhupendra
Chaudhary inspected the arrangements at the five entry gates of the meeting
venue. He asked all the officials to work in coordination with the officials of
the administrative staff engaged in the arrangements. He said that the Prime
Minister's public meeting should be grand, well-organized and historically successful.
State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary left for Farrukhabad after inspecting
the meeting venue.
It
is noteworthy that this is Narendra Modi's first visit to Kanpur after assuming
office as PM for the third time. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the party
workers regarding this. The district and police administration, along with
party officials, are continuously inspecting the public meeting venue.
Prime
Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to come in Kanpur Nagar to launch
development projects worth roughly Rs 20,900 crore. Among these is the opening
of the Chunniganj to Kanpur Central Metro segment, a key component of the
Kanpur Metro Rail Project that cost more than Rs 2,120 crore and has 14
stations, five of which are underground. The Prime Minister will also address
electricity infrastructure requirements by laying the groundwork for a 220 kV
substation under YEIDA in Gautam Buddh Nagar and inaugurating crucial 132 kV
substations in Greater Noida, totaling over Rs 320 crore. In Kanpur, he will launch the large Panki
Thermal electricity Extension Project and the Ghatampur Thermal Power Project
units, both of which aim to increase the state's electricity production.
To
improve infrastructure, Modi will open rail overbridges and a treatment
facility to boost water management.
Under his direction, road connection projects will be boosted, with
major regional advantages expected. Aside from infrastructure development, the
Prime Minister intends to provide certifications and financial help to various
recipients through important government initiatives, demonstrating a holistic
approach to the region's prosperity and welfare.
