
Jorhat (Assam), 28 May (HS): Bir Lachit Sena has started a protest march towards Jorhat demanding action against illegal Bangladeshi infiltraters in Assam, which has intensified political and social turmoil in the state.
Hundreds of members of Lachit Sena, equipped with traditional weapons, are leading this mass movement. This march with symbolic weapons is not just a demonstration, but is being seen as the beginning of a decisive phase.
Lachit Sena has made it clear that this movement will continue till the last limit of democratic protest is reached. The organization's secretary Shrinkhal Chaliha said, We will not back down until all the ways of democracy are tried.
The main demands of this movement include the immediate arrest and detention of Azad Chaudhary, whom the organization is accusing of being involved in anti-state activities.
Also, Lachit Sena has issued a public appeal urging people from every corner of Assam to reach Jorhat and give more strength to this campaign.
Apart from this, the organization demanded action against those declared Bangladeshi citizens or illegal infiltrators as per the court order.
