Mumbai, 28 May (HS): Narcotic drugs and raw material worth Rs 12 crore were
recovered during a raid on a goat raring farm in Karjat near Mumbai. One individual
was arrested, and police are searching for his three associates. The four hired the farm for a rent of Rs 50,000 per month.
According to the police, about 5.5 kg
of narcotic drug, Mephedrone (MD), and raw material worth Rs 12 crore were
seized during the raid. The arrested person has been named as Arkam Memon.They had hired another farmhouse earlier,
but vacated it within two months and shifted to the present location in Karjat.
Memon is a member of the drug trafficking syndicate. Police arrested five syndicate members – Rehan Sheikh, Shiv Gupta, Rajan Subramaniam,
Shahnawaz Chinoy, and Sonu Pathan.

Dhawle said, police have recovered 12 kg of drugs worth Rs 25 crore since April
this year. The racket was exposed following the arrest of a drug peddler in Chembur
in Mumbai. During his interrogation, information about others came to the fore.
Police are searching for others involved in the racket.
