Chandrapur, 27 May (HS): Two villagers were killed in two

different attacks by a tiger in Chandrapur district on Tuesday. Both incidents

occurred near Bahgwanpur in Mul Tehsil of Chandrapur district.

Sanjay Makelwar (49) had gone to the jungle to collect fuel for her home around 9

am, when a tiger attacked her. The tiger left her body as her relatives shouted

for help.

Another incident occurred in the afternoon, when

Suresh Chopanwar (52) was grazing cattle, when the same tiger attacked him.

The Forest Department has increased surveillance in

the region following the deaths of two villagers.
