Jammu, 27 May (H.S.): Sat Sharma, president, J&K BJP today reaffirmed that the Bharatiya Janata Party is committed for inclusive development and in this regard, the Modi Government is tirelessly working for the welfare and true empowerment of women across all sections of society.
Sharma was addressing an organizational meeting held here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has launched a wide array of welfare schemes and policy reforms targeting women’s education, health, financial independence, safety and social dignity.”
He cited notable initiatives such as Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM Awas Yojana and Mission Shakti, which have brought tangible change in the lives of millions of women across the country.
Sharma asked the participants to collectively resolve to take these welfare measures to the last mile, ensuring that every eligible and needy woman in Jammu & Kashmir is made aware of and benefits from these schemes.
It was also stressed that the party’s Mahila Morcha must enhance its outreach activities, particularly in rural and remote areas, to educate women about their rights and entitlements under the Modi Government’s initiatives.
Former Minister Priya Sethi in her address lauded the PM Modi’s commitment for women empowerment.
She said, “Whether it was bringing women to the forefront in politics, ensuring their representation in elections or promoting self-dependence, Modi’s approach is rooted in women-led development.”
Sanjita Dogra, president of J&K BJP Mahila Morcha assured the senior party leadership of dedicated work by the Mahila Morcha.
The meeting was attended by Neha Mahajan and Reema Padha, general secretaries of Mahila Morcha, along with other senior Morcha functionaries.
