Hojai (Assam), 27 May (HS): A tragic incident has come to light in Lumding, where a person killed of electrocution while trying to give electricity connection in the temple. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Bapan Das.

According to information given by the police on Tuesday, Bapan Das was trying to connect an electricity connection in a temple, when suddenly he got electrocuted. He was taken to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.

Bapan Das was a resident of Jhulanpul area of North Lumding. His untimely death has sent a wave of mourning in the area.
