New Delhi, May 27 (HS): The Delhi government, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, is set to offer government jobs to 125 victims of the 1984 Sikh riots. Today, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented appointment letters to 19 individuals at the Delhi Secretariat. Minister of Food & Supplies, Industry, Forest & Environment, Government of Delhi Manjinder Singh Sirsa from the Delhi government was also present on this occasion.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, after distributing appointment letters, criticized previous governments for neglecting Sikh victims of the 1984 riots. She claimed the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party failed to provide any rights or assistance to these victims, attributing financial support to Prime Minister Modi. Gupta announced that the Delhi government will offer jobs to 125 members of affected Sikh families. Regarding the COVID-19 situation, she assured that there is no alarming scenario, with only a mild seasonal virus appearing from the new variant. A health advisory has been sent to hospitals as a precaution, but there is no cause for concern among Delhi residents.
