27 May (HS): A 35-year-old man was discovered dead with his throat cut in
Amgaon village, Badaun district, Uttar Pradesh, police said Tuesday. According
to Senior Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Singh, Manoj Patel was
murdered with a sharp-edged weapon in a hamlet near the Civil Lines police
station. A case has been filed against two people of the same hamlet based on
the allegation submitted in complaint by Patel's father, Chironjilal, he added.
The SSP stated that Manoj and two others went to the city on Monday night and
drank alcohol. They returned to the
hamlet and proceeded to consume booze till late at night.
During
this time, the three got into a fight about something, and the two guys
murdered Manoj by slicing his neck with a sharp-edged knife, he claimed. Three
teams have been organized to find and apprehend the suspects. Given the tense
situation in the hamlet, an appropriate police force has been deployed, and the
accused will be caught shortly, according to the SSP, who also stated that the
corpse has been submitted for autopsy.
