Mumbai, 27 May (HS): A threat to blow up Mumbai’s
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport alerted the security forces.
The threat to blow up the airport with a bomb was received through a phone call
on Tuesday around 9 am.
The Airport Authority informed the police and other
security agencies about the threatening call. Nothing suspicious was found
during the search operation. Police traced a suspect from Mumbai’s Andheri
area. The suspect named Manjit Kumar Gautam (35) was detained from a textile
mill in Andheri. Police are interrogating him.
Most of the threats across the country turned out to
be fake. However, the security agencies have decided to strengthen the security
services and resources.
