Lakhimpur Kheri, 26 May (HS): On Monday, the live streaming of inauguration
ceremony of important programs of the Basic Education Department by the Chief
Minister was seen and heard in the Atal Auditorium located in the Collectorate.
The program was inaugurated by the Minister in charge of the district, Nitin
Agarwal, by lighting a lamp along with MLA Yogesh Verma, Vinod Shankar Awasthi,
DM Durga Shakti Nagpal and CDO Abhishek Kumar.
In the presence of DM Durga Shakti Nagpal and other public
representatives, the Minister-in-Charge honored five teachers by giving them
tablets and the headmasters of two Nipun Vidyalayas by giving them certificates.
By distributing stationery kits to the students of Kasturba Vidyalay and
special educational kits to the Divyang children, a strong message of inclusion
and technical support in education was given. The rangoli made by the students
of the council school was the center of attraction. At the same time, the
cultural program presented by a student captivated everyone.
Addressing the program, Minister-in-charge Nitin Agarwal said
that the picture of changing Uttar Pradesh is clearly visible in our council
schools today. The schools which were once associated with lack of facilities,
today the same schools are becoming symbols of innovation, inclusion and
quality. The government decided that every child should study with dignity.
Therefore, an amount of Rs. 1200 for dress, books, shoes, socks and bags is
being sent directly to the accounts of parents. This is not just an amount, but
a symbol of faith that no child should be deprived of education just due to
lack of resources. There is a huge difference between the situation eight years
ago and today. Now parents are taking their children out of private schools and
getting them admitted in government schools. With programs like Operation
Kayakalp, Chief Minister Composite School and Nipun Aasman, Uttar Pradesh is
creating a new history in the field of education.
Minister-in-charge praised the DM, said, 'Mission Maidan' is
changing the future of children: Minister-in-charge praised the innovative
initiative 'Mission Maidan' of Lakhimpur Kheri DM Durga Shakti Nagpal and said
that this initiative has proved that when education is woven with sports,
health and discipline, not only academic achievement but overall development of
children is ensured. 'Mission Maidan' has taken Lakhimpur ahead in the race of
excellence and now this role model will also be implemented in districts like
Hardoi, so that the entire Uttar Pradesh can be empowered with this new
dimension of education.
BSA Praveen Kumar Tiwari said that the total number of
enrollments in council schools in Lakhimpur Kheri district so far is 4,02,678.
Out of these, an amount of Rs 1200 each has been sent to the accounts of the
parents of 2,55,806 children. Data of 1,00,680 students has been sent for the
next phase.
