Jammu, 26 May (H.S.): Two people, including a police constable, were arrested for their alleged involvement in a snatching incident here in the jurisdiction of Police Station Channi Himmat, officials said.

Police Constable Abdul Rehman and Nadeem Choudhary, both residents of Gujjar Colony, Channi Himmat, Jammu, were arrested for allegedly looting Rs 1400 from a fruit vendor in Channi Himmat area on May 22, they said.

While a case number 83/2025 under section 307 of the BNS already stands registered at Police Station Channi Himmat, police have started further investigation into the matter.

Pertinently, the arrest was made by a team of Police Station Channi Himmat led by Inspector Shariq Bhat, SHO concerned, under the supervision of SDPO South, Sheezan Ahmed and SP South, Ajay Sharma.
