26 Feb (HS): Devotees from the country and abroad started reaching
Mahakumbhnagar from Tuesday night itself for Mahashivratri, the last holy
bathing festival of Mahakumbh. The faith of the devotees was at its peak on the
great festival of Mahashivratri, as a result of which one crore people took a
bath in the holy Sangam by 12 noon. For the safe arrival of such a huge crowd
of devotees at the Sangam and their safe return after the holy bath, important
messages started being broadcast on large Variable Messaging Displays (VMD) in
the fair area from Tuesday night itself. Being cautious about crowd management,
the administration paved the way for a smooth bath for all the devotees.
Comprehensive arrangements: On the special instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath,
the Maha Kumbh Nagar administration had made extensive arrangements in the
entire fair area for the devotees coming from the country and abroad. So that
they do not face any kind of inconvenience. Apart from this, people were
constantly appealed to not spend much time on the ghats after bathing and move
towards their destination quickly. Due to which the devotees got great
convenience for bathing on Mahashivratri.
Guidelines were given on the Ghats from the night itself: More than 1.25 crore
devotees are flocking every day to take a holy dip in the holy confluence of
Maa Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. The fair administration made strict
arrangements to make this mega event of Mahashivratri safe and well-organized.
From crowd control at the ghats to digital information system, necessary
information was sent to the devotees. The fair administration put up large variable
messaging displays at various places and appealed to the devotees not to spend
much time on the ghats after bathing and to move towards their destination
quickly. This helped a lot in crowd control and everyone got a chance to bath
comfortably. Important information, guidelines and security alerts were
continuously issued on the variable messaging display since Tuesday night.
