Bhopal, 26 February (HS): Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth more than 30.77 lakh crores in the two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS) held in Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a positive environment has been created in the country regarding industrialization and investment. Madhya Pradesh has adequate water, forest, land, electricity, land bank and a favorable environment for investment.
The Chief Minister was addressing the closing session of the two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS) held in Bhopal on Tuesday evening. Congratulating Union Home Minister Amit Shah for attending the closing session of GIS, he said that Madhya Pradesh has received guidance from the able leadership of the country with the launch of GIS by Prime Minister Modi yesterday and its closing by Home Minister Shah today. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Madhya Pradesh for this.
The Chief Minister said, Regional Industry Conclave (RIC) was started at the regional level in Madhya Pradesh a year ago, so that industrialization and investment could be further promoted at the divisional level. We have got very good results of RIC. We have got the reward of the efforts made in RIC in GIS. We have made many changes in investment policies to take Madhya Pradesh forward and encourage investors. Our new investment policies have been appreciated by everyone. Our government has declared the year 2025 as the Industry Year. We are moving ahead rapidly in textile, pharma and auto industries. We will continue to move forward in this caravan of development.
He informed that more than 25000 participants including more than 100 experts and industrialists participated in the Global Investors Summit. In this, investor delegates from more than 60 countries came to Bhopal. About 5000 business-to-business and 600 business-to-government meetings were organized under GIS. He informed that till now the government has received investment proposals of more than Rs 30 lakh 77 thousand crore. Various MoUs were signed.
The state government is fully committed to bring its efforts on the ground. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, our government will continue this campaign of development in the youth, farmers, women and all kinds of potential areas here.
The Chief Minister informed about the innovations made in Madhya Pradesh for the implementation of criminal laws implemented last year.
He said, In one year we will fully implement all the new criminal law reforms and establish Madhya Pradesh as the state with the best law and order in the country. we are committed to working better under the leadership and guidance of Home Minister Shah towards improving law and order in the state.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain presented the report of the two-day GIS. He said that 25 delegates from 50 countries came to Bhopal in GIS. 10 Union Ministers came to Bhopal and 6 Union Secretaries also participated. Prime Minister Modi encouraged all of us by inaugurating the summit. The Prime Minister also launched 18 new policies made by the Madhya Pradesh government. He appealed to the investors to study these policies of the MP government in depth and take full advantage of the facilities being provided by the government. The Prime Minister has asked to focus on textile tourism and technology sector. In the textile sector, Madhya Pradesh has received a textile project in Dhar from the Center.
Prime Minister Modi has said that the government's interference in the society should be less. The main goal of these policies of the Madhya Pradesh government is about ease of doing business. Very good work has been done in the tourism sector. Earlier, 30 permissions were required to work in this sector, now they have been reduced to 10. We will notify all these policies in the Public Service Guarantee Act.
Chief Secretary Jain said that a new act has been made in Madhya Pradesh, 'Udyog Ki Kalpana Evam Paricharan'. This is a revolutionary step of the Madhya Pradesh government. Compared to many states of the country, our investment portal is user friendly. Delegates have praised it. Work is going on to make it more user friendly. As soon as an investor comes to Madhya Pradesh, you officers will change how he reaches the investment target. All notifications will be issued within one to one and a half months. We will resolve objections by forming cells at the district level. Madhya Pradesh is the fastest growing state in the country.
On this occasion, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Mohit Mathur of Dabur Company Limited, Rajesh Adani of Adani Group, Siddharth Jain, SK Agarwal, Thomas Cherian and other industrialists were present on the stage. At the beginning of the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented a replica of Baba Mahakal (Shivling) to Union Home Minister Shah by flying angavastram. The Chief Minister also presented a painting of Gond painting to Union Civil Aviation Minister Naidu by flying angavastram.
